Come 'Dig LeDroit' at our Season Opener

We are holding our annual Season Opener event Sunday, April 26th 11:30am-3pm. We will be kicking off the 2015 growing season with a seedling sale, Spring herb walk, farm tours, cooking demos, kids' activities, and plenty of information about how to get involved with Common Good City Farm throughout the season. But wait, there's more... This year, we are teaming up with the LeDroit Park Civic Association, Community Garden, Dog Park, and the Metropolitan Police Department to combine our Season Opener with a park-wide community day! Community Day in the Park is a free event celebrating the beauty and amenities in the greenspace surrounding The Park at LeDroit. This event will launch Dig LeDroit, an initiative to inspire all community members to enjoy and help maintain the beauty of our neighborhood, starting with The Park at LeDroit. In addition to the activities at the farm's Season Opener, Community Day in the Park will feature a Spring Egg Hunt, face painting, park beautification volunteer opportunities, music, and more!
