Help Ellie grow food in her community

Hi. My name is Eliamani Ismail, but my friends call me Ellie. I'm a teenage farmer in Washington DC. This time last year, I had never heard of Common Good City Farm, but after spending my entire summer on this urban farm - growing, harvesting and learning about healthy eating - I am its biggest fan. Thanks to Common Good City Farm, I have more friends, more self-confidence, and I know more about healthy eating. I hope you’ll donate today and help Common Good City Farm inspire more youth like me! Now that summer is over, I am still using what I learned on the farm and building on the discovery of how much I love to help my community. Just last month, I created a podcast on healthy eating and farming, and my mom has asked me to help her build a garden in our backyard. If it weren’t for Common Good City Farm, I don’t know what I would have done this summer, or how I would know what foods will help me stay strong and healthy. This place changed my life!

Please donate today so other youth can learn and grow the way I did. -Ellie
