Help us Give Young People the Tools to Grow Today!

Many of you may be eagerly looking forward to summer vacations. But here at Common Good City Farm, summer is our busiest time of year – and we need your help! Our first crops are ripening and demand for our services continues to grow. For children who rely on their school to provide them with a safe place to go and access to nutritious meals, the promise of summer fun can quickly degrade into food insecurity and hardship. This year, we’re expanding our summer services for at-risk youth. Common Good is launching a special summer youth program for a diverse group of 16 teenagers, half of them from low-income households, who want to develop job skills and become leaders in their community. And we’re adding to our daytime services for children looking for engaging activities and nutritious food. With school just getting out for the summer, we’re bracing for a big spike in childhood hunger, teen unemployment, and community need. Will you help us empower young people to lead healthier, better lives? A contribution today will help us improve our critical services for low-income children and cultivate a brighter future here in Washington, DC.
