Join us for A Virtual Night on the Farm series, featuring meals from our partner restaurants highlighting produce from the farm!

While we can not gather in person this year, we hope to bring the farm experience to you with our A Virtual Night on the Farm series. This year, take your pick from a variety of menu options from different restaurants to bring the A Night on the Farm vibe to your home!
If you want to get hands-on and prepare your meal, you can choose from the meal kit options offered by ANXO, The Royal, or Oyster Oyster. A chef from each restaurant will lead a live cooking demo so you can follow in real time to prepare the meal using your meal kit.
If you would like to sit back and relax, then choose a ready-to-heat meal from Brookland's Finest, Big Bear Cafe, or Moreland's Tavern. Each meal will still be complemented by virtual programming, such as a live Q&A with the chef or a cocktail making demo.
If you can't decide and want to try all of the meals, you can purchase our All Access Pass and indulge to your heart's content!
For each meal, you can choose to pick up your meal from the restaurant or you can choose to have the meal delivered by DC To-GoGo. Delivery is available to all addresses within Washington, DC for a $7.50 fee. Your meal will be delivered between 2-6 pm the day of the event and you must purchase the delivery add-on 2 days prior to the event.
This year's event is sponsored by Nest DC, Love and Carrots, and Michele's Granola. A Night on the Farm is Common Good City Farm's signature fundraising event of the year and proceeds from the event series will fund our food distribution efforts as well as other educational programming. Brookland’s Finest - Thursday, October 1
Enjoy a BBQ spread with pulled pork sandwiches, smoked wings, potato salad, mac and cheese, and coleslaw from Brookland’s Finest! This meal for 4 people will be ready to heat and eat and can be picked up on Thursday, October 1 from 4 to 7 pm. Join us from 7 to 8 pm for a virtual toast and introduction.

Big Bear Cafe - Monday, October 5
Enjoy a plant-forward meal featuring produce from the farm prepared by Big Bear Cafe! This meal for 2 people will be ready to heat and enjoy from the comfort of your home. Pick up the meal from 4 to 7 pm and join for a virtual cooking demo with the chef from 7 to 8 pm on Monday, October 5.

Moreland’s Tavern - Thursday, October 15
Feast on this three course meal with chicken/pork lemon rosemary meatballs, braised greens, and a fall warm farro salad with a radish leaf pesto vinaigrette. Includes a lemon rosemary gin rickey cocktail for extra fun! This meal for 1 person will be ready to heat and enjoy from the comfort of your home. Pick up the meal from 4 to 7 pm and join for a virtual cooking demo with the chef from 7 to 8 pm on Thursday, October 15.

ANXO - Thursday, October 22
Learn how to make paella with the chefs at ANXO in this hands-on cooking class! Guests can choose from a vegetarian or seafood paella option for 1 person. Pick-up is available from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, October 21 and 5 to 6 pm on Thursday, October 22 from either location (300 Florida Ave NW or 711 Kennedy St NW) and the cooking demo will take place from 6 to 7 pm on Thursday, October 22.

The Royal - Tuesday, October 27
Learn how to cook a perfect steak and vegetable side dish from Common Good produce with Chef Cable! This meal kit feeds 2 people, and needs to be picked up from The Royal on Tuesday, October 27 between 3 to 6 pm. Then, join us from 6-7pm on the 27th for a live cooking demo.

Oyster Oyster - Monday, November 2
Prepare a vegetable-centric meal by following along with a Zoom cooking demo with Chef Rob of Oyster Oyster. This meal kit to feed 2 people includes stuffed Kabocha Squash with toasted grains, chili-benne seed compound butter (can be vegan upon request) along with kale and grilled cabbage salad with vegan Caesar dressing (exact menu subject to change). Pick up your meal from 4 to 6 pm and join the cooking workshop from 7 to 8 pm.
