Green Tomorrows

Enrollment is ongoing. Come by the farm during open hours to learn more and fill out an application, or contact our Green Tomorrows Coordinator, Terri, if you have any questions: terri@commongoodcityfarm.org

Participate in our Green Tomorrows program and share in the bounty of the farm! Learn how the Green Tomorrows program helped a participant become healthier by teaching her how to grow affordable, organic, and nutritional food.

Participants have two options to complete the program and receive the certificate:

Option 1, Hands-on learning: Over the course of the growing season, participants will receive on-the-farm lessons. We encourage 2 hours of on farm participation each week. Participants will learn as they work the land alongside staff. Hands-on lessons include planting (direct seed & transplanting), harvesting, composting, pest control, and various other lessons in sustainability. See the curriculum for Summer Session 1.

Option 2, Workshops: Participants can also opt to take a series of workshops, particularly if they are senior citizens or physically challenged. Topics include horticulture, nutrition, food preparation, and food budgeting.

Participants who take the first option are encouraged to attend the workshops as well, as they cover a wide range of topics applying to sustainable agriculture and healthy eating.

Green Tomorrows is all about developing important skills for a productive and healthy future! As an added benefit, participants will also receive fresh produce from the farm every week.
