The farm will be closed for the holiday weekend. There will be no open hours, LEAF, or other programming on Saturday 9/3, Sunday 9/4 or Monday 9/5.

Bring your class on a field trip to the farm! Volunteer with our field trips!

Sign up now to bring your class to the farm! Common Good offers 90 minute field trips on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Field trips are open to all grade levels, the material covered meet DCPS standards and can be tailored to specific class requests. Topics can include: plant needs, composting and worms, harvesting, insects, and nutrition.
Introduce your students to how food grows and the science of urban agriculture.

We are now taking applications for the fall session of our City Farmers program which runs from August 27 through November 6 (excluding Labor Day weekend). Apply now! (Deadline 8/15/16)

Little Farmers Program: Monday, July 18

Join us on the farm at 10 am Monday, July 18th for our next Little Farmers program!
Little Farmers is for toddlers ages 18 months- 3 years along with their parent or guardian.
The program runs from 10-11am on the first and third Monday of each month and our next class is next week!

Deconstructing Bitters: Medicine & Mixology

Join us as we learn from Tricia McCauley, Common Good Resident Herbalist and JB Knapp, Mixologist at El Camino, about how to use bitters in both medicine and mixology. We will spend the first hour at Common Good City Farm learning from Tricia McCauley about how to make and use bitters medicinally. Then, we will walk over to El Camino and learn from JB Knapp about how to use bitters in cocktails and sample a few bitters-based cocktails.
