Youth Education

  • LEAF Afternoon Youth Program: An excitement-filled hour and a half of hands-on farming, cooking, eating, and learning. Each session, youth age 6-12 participate in the full farm-to-table cycle by caring for our Youth Garden, harvesting veggies, preparing a meal in our outdoor kitchen, and then sitting down to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Please visit our LEAF page here.

  • Youth Employment Program: Common Good City Farm offers a six week long paid summer program for high school age students. Youth who complete our summer youth program are eligible to return for a 6 week paid fall and spring internship. Learn more about what we did in this year's summer youth program here.

  • Field Trips to the Farm: Schools in the DC metro area can visit the farm for a field trip, where students have the chance to learn where their food comes from while engaging in hands-on activities. For details, including scheduling, curriculum and cost, please visit our field trip page here.

  • Little Farmers: A 1 hour farm-to-school inspired enrichment activity for children 18 months to 3 years old and their parent/guardian. The program runs from 10-11am on the first and third Monday of each month. No registration required. Suggested drop-in fee of $5.
